Hi! I’m James Buckingham, a mid-40s writer from Yorkshire, now based in the south west of the UK.
I’m generally pretty blunt and abrasive when you get to know me, and have quite a dark sense of humour in general.
Although I write for a living at the moment, it’s not doing what I’d prefer (I deal with complaints at a high level in the utilities sector), I’m currently working on my own original fantasy novel.
The book will be a murder mystery with a supernatural twist, set in early 1900s London, but I won’t go into too much detail, as I’m still fleshing out a lot of content, so there’s a fair few things in flux.
You’ll see me post excerpts of my book from time to time on here, just to gauge how they read, and gain a little feedback. However, I’ll forewarn you I have a little trepidation when it comes to my writing at the moment, so it may be a while before I pluck up the courage to post it.
In the meantime, you’ll find me writing brief posts about films, music, video games and general life, so I’ll try to keep things relatively frequent when possible.
I also run all parts of this site myself, including the general design, so at present things are changing periodically while I fiddle and make things look how I’d like them to.
